A combination of CBD and THC is effective in treating pain due to arthritis and multiple sclerosis. One of these is called Sativex, and it is approved in several countries to treat multiple sclerosis. In a 47 person study, pain, muscle spasms and walking were significantly improved, compared to a placebo group.
