Phyto cannabinoids come from the cannabis plant, and are non psychoactive, while THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) does interact with brain chemistry. CBD is different from other cannabinoids because it has little effect on receptor sights in the brain, such as CB1 and CB2. CB1, in particular, is abundant in the areas of the brain that control movement, pain perception, memory and cognition.
