How Hemp is Grown

Hemp grows in long and densely packed rows. It grows on both larger and smaller farms. Since there is a growing market for industrial hemp, it has reached 27,000 acres. This is continuing to increase since hemp has a wide variety of uses. The plants require very few pesticides and herbicides and a small amount of fertilizer. They also need less water than other crops like cotton. Hemp thrives in well- drained soil that has a lot of organic matter. It can also heal polluted soil.
