After the presidential election, cannabis regulators have taken steps to put cannabis policy changes into place. A group of representatives from 19 states confirmed, on Thursday, that an independent organization has been created to support this cannabis legalization cause.
The Cannabis Regulators Association has been cautious on the issue of legalizing cannabis, but also believes that it can come up with the best regulation, given its experience with managing cannabis programs. Voters in five states passed initiatives to legalize cannabis. These were: Arizona, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey and South Dakota. The next step is to broaden the base of regulators who will apply similar measures, as noted by the above mentioned organization, Cannabis Regulators Association, or CANNRA. This group also plans to provide objective information on how and whether to expand on legalizing cannabis, while remaining unbiased about either opposing or allowing for cannabis reform.
Many states have regulators within CANNRA, who can participate in discussions about analyses, data tracking, and updates on current events and topics concerning the Cannabis industry.
