CBD also helps the area of the brain responsible for memory, mood and emotion. This area is called the hippocampus, and it\’s located in the frontal lobe. As mentioned by someone else, the CB1 receptors are located in the brain and spinal cord. Both THC and CBD influence the mood and pain centers of the endocannabinoid system, respectively. Pain centers are part of the peripheral system,and encpompass the other parts of the body, and these are CB2 receptor sites. This is where CBD helps pain and inflammation.
