A farm in Erie, Colorado, used to grow A lot of vegetables, but then it turned to growing hemp. It dedicated 150 acres to growing hemp so far and is still planting it. CBD extracted from hemp is marketed for pain relief, for the relief of stress and anxiety, and also for pet treats and granola. Farms that already grew hemp are seeing demand and profits surge. Hemp is a high-return crop. The price of hemp went up slightly after The Farm Bill was signed in 2018. Industry watchers say the price could stay at these levels or increase. A Colorado distributor of hemp products and CBD is planting 3 times more hemp, up from 5.2 million hemp plants in 2018.
